I JUST got up one Sunday morning and started running around the block.  That was May 14, 1991 and ran my first race of the Interior Road Association in Oliver B.C. on March 7, 1992.  I have now logged 215 races consecutively along with running 87 cross country races, 15 marathons and fun runs which are too numerous to count.  Along the way I've done the Banff to Jasper relay, Barkerville Rush Relay, Hainey to Harrison and the Kamloops 100k relay.
 
RUNNING and fitness are incorporated into my lifestyle which means by home is a gym.  My eating habits are healthy and promote my running.
 
IN 2009 I participated in the Indoor World Masters track meet that was held here in Kamloops.  Entering in 8 different distances was exciting, fun and a life experience.  There were athletes from all over the world and I got to run beside past Olympians.   The Western Canadian Master indoor track meet is being held here in Kamloops and I will be entering six different distances.  It is unique being able to participate in these events as they will only happen once in a lifetime in your own back yard.
 
MY long time inspiration for running was Willis Greenway who was a great person with lots of achievements.
 
MY GOALS are to continue my race consecutive streak, stay healthy and volunteer to assist others in their running journey.  I want to pass on some of my experience and passion for the sport of running and make it fun.  Being a Sun Run Clinic Leader in the Run Faster 10k program I feel I am doing this.
 
MY RUNNING career has had numerous injuries.   The most serious being a heart operation but I still managed to run.  All this has made me stronger and my running has gotten a little faster.  I LOVE to RUN, it's fun, healthy and LOVE to see new people out running.
