Runner's Sole Staff

The staff at Runner's Sole are extensively trained in fitting feet. They practice what they preach, running / multi-sport outdoor enthusiasts. They love to help people from all walks of life and from all levels of fitness. Our goal is to provide exceptional service and to assist in helping our customers discover their needs and meet their objectives.

Being connected with our community, we can refer our customers to trained professionals who they may need to help them in any way, other than what we do, medically, clubs, associations and other stores.

Favorite Event and/or Athletic Experience: The Nanasiuik Marathon 1986 (500 miles North of Baffin Island) Race is in July and the Sun Never Goes Down. The Landscape is Breathtaking)

Favourite Place to Walk/Run/Ride: Living up in Aberdeen, the trail network is so fast and the view of the city is spectacular. Mountain biking and trail running routes that take me over to Pineview and Kenna Cartwright Park.

Top Accomplishment: Placing second at the Knee Knacker 50km Trail Run in Vancouver in 1994.

Events Doing in 2011: Interior Road Race Series, Dirty Feet trail/mountain bike series, Grand fondo bike event Penticton, "Lots of Bike Riding" road and mountain.

 

Monica Hall:

Favourite Place to Walk/Run/Ride: Love riding my bike in and surrounding areas of the 'loops and absolutely love getting out and hiking the trails that Kamloops has to offer. Love running "Moonscape"!!! Sun Rivers

Top Accomplishment:  1/2 Ironman in Oliver and 1/2 Ironman Grand Columbian Triathlon (in Grand Coulee Dam, Washington.)

Favourite Event and/or Athletic Experience: Taking off over 10 minutes from the Summerland Triathlon in 2007, compared to the previous year..

Favourite Place to Walk/Run/Ride:  Absolutely love walking her dog Shadow around Pineview. Love swimming at the Canada Games pool and biking around the hilly roads of Kamloops.

Currently Rehabing: Had surgery on both knees and getting back to running some day.

Favourite Quote: "One step at a time."

Top Accomplishment: Finished 2nd in my age category at the Vernon Triathlon, July 2007

Personal Information:  I am currently awaiting surgery on my left knee, and after rehab I want to do the Summerland Triathlon in September as part of a team.

Personal Info: Enjoying exploring Kamloops and all the trails. I am originally from Kitchener, Ontario and worked at Runner's Choice in Waterloo for 3 years in sales and run groups. i started running competitively in high-school (cross country & track - 1500, 3000, Steeplechase, XC 5k) I also coached a highschool club team for 4 years.

Personal Info: I graduated from High School in 2009 and am currently working and trying to save up to do some traveling. I went to Tanzania, Africa, in 2009 for 6 weeks to provide a small village with clean drinking water. It was an amazing experience. I enjoy playing basketball and soccer in my free time.

Favorite Event: Rock N Roll Half Marathon Series – Live bands every mile – the energy is Amazing.
Favorite Place to Run/Walk/Bike: I love running all over Kamloops. My current Favorites are the Kenna Cartwright Trails (a good challenge) and Sugar Loaf. The Run that I could do over and over and not get tired of it – is the Rivers Trail from Riverside Park to the Kamloops Airport.

Personal Information: I was born and raised in Kamloops, with athletics always being apart of my life. I play everything from Soccer to Golf, Ice Hockey and now running. I am currently a Run Club coach with Jo Berry’s Run Club, and love every minute of it. I am currently starting to train for a Marathon in 2012 (not sure which one I’m doing).
